On November 8, SKY2SHARE had the honor of attending the inauguration of VoltAero’s new industrial site at Rochefort Airport in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. This event marks a significant milestone for our strategic partner, which is preparing for the production of its Cassio family of hybrid-electric aircraft—a revolution for sustainable and regional air mobility.
During the event, we witnessed an impressive demonstration of the Cassio prototype, featuring 100% electric takeoff and landing. This highlight showcased the exceptional potential of VoltAero’s patented hybrid-electric propulsion technology, designed to deliver safety, sustainability, and efficiency.
The 2,400-square-meter facility is dedicated to the final assembly and delivery of Cassio aircraft. With a planned production capacity of 150 aircraft per year, this site embodies VoltAero’s commitment to greener aviation while incorporating exemplary sustainable construction practices.
